Beautiful and Elegant French Felted Berets

I was recently in Paris for a wonderful weekend and in the Artists' quarter of Montmartre by the Sacre Coeur, I bought these gorgeous woollen French berets ( wish I had bought more, but isn't that always the way !)

I have used a soft needle felting technique and careful hand blending of grey, cream, green and black wools to create a toning collage of flowers and leaves with twisty stems

Needle Felted Christmas Fairy and Woodland Elf

There are fairies at the bottom of my garden. Let me introduce you to princess Poinsettia, she is really one of the dancing fairies but this year she has been chosen as the Christmas princess and she will spend her Christmas right at the top of the fairies tree granting everyones special wishes with a wave of her magic sparkling wand.
She has been created using a soft needle felting technique and a careful blending of wools. Reds and cream for her stylish dress, green and cream for her double wings and golds and red berries for her funky hair. She is very proud of her new green ballet shoes and she loves to sit or just hang about near you.
If you are very lucky she might even grant you a wish and practice her dancing for you. I have placed fine wire in her arms and legs so she is gently poseable and a ribbon loop between her wings.

There is an elf at the bottom of my garden, I think he comes from the nearby woods to watch the fairies practising their dance. His name is Pendleberry and this year he has been chosen as the Christmas elf.
He has to make certain that all the elderly fairy folk are given a tree to decorate for the Christmas celebration. He has been created using a soft needle felting technique and careful blending of wools. Greens for his hat and leggings, browns for his boots, tunic and wings, red for his shirt and copper for his funkyhair.
Pendleberry is ready to make a delivery so he is carrying a tree decorated with a bright sparkly star. He keeps the roots on all of the trees so that after the celebrations he can plant the trees back in to the forest.

Hand Needle Felted Boxes and Containers

This is from my wild rose collection. I just love these little flowers that still grow in our Island hedgerows.  I created this piece using both wet felting and dry needle felting techniques and I hand blended cream and pink wools to give a pretty swirly effect.  It is fully lined with vintage silk and velvet in a dusky pink so that your jewellery and trinkets do not catch in the wool felt. I have secured the lid with a hinge and embellished the top with three beautiful roses and twisted stems. It is secured by a twisty loop and a handmade button. This little pot will look great on a dressing table or shelf.

This beautiful mushroom container can store your secret things and makes a wonderful ornament with its Autumn scene around the base. You can see a little rabbit munching the plants and some mushrooms and berries. The lid has a lovely grey squirrel holding an acorn, 'mmm should I eat it or store it, decisions decisions' !!!!!

This cute little mushroom container can store your secret things and makes a beautiful little ornament. I created it using a dry needle felting technique with hand blended wool in tones of cream and brown with a green leafed acorn.

Welcome to the Autumn... Soft Sculptures...Needle Felted

OAK LEAF with HEDGEHOG, ACORN and LADYBIRD....
'Is this friend or food?', Mr hedgehog says to himself as he wanders across the floor of the oak forest. He is giving the little ladybird a good sniff while she sits firmly on her acorn.

AUTUMN TREE STUMP HOUSE and TWO HEDGEHOGS.....

This is a wonderful tree stump house that a Mother hedgehog and her baby have found to live in. It is a bit too big for them really so there is plenty of room inside for other friends to share.

AUTUMN LEAF with THREE HUNGRY HEDGEHOGS EATING BERRIES from an ACORN BOWL...

Love this cute little family of hedgehogs eating ripe, red berries from their acorn bowl. I created this beautiful sculpture using a soft needle felting technique and hand blended my wool in gorgeous Autumn colours.
A beautiful work of art for your Nature table.
